Healing Touch Skin Repair Cream is the first product we formulated. Our son suffered badly from eczema when he was a toddler. Prescribed and "off the shelf" pharmaceutical products seemed to make it worse so we decided to research heavily into natural products and formulations that we could produce ourselves. Healing Touch cleared our son's eczema and it's now our "go to" family remedy for any skin issues-eczema, dry/chapped skin, cut's, burns, chicken pox, etc.
Healing Properties
Olive Oil
According to the International Olive Council, olive oil has many vitamins, including A, D, and K, as well as vitamin E.
Beeswax
Beeswax is known to have properties that help to soften, calm and soothe skin tissue. When applied to the skin, beeswax forms a protective barrier that helps protect it from environmental assaults, while also holding in moisture and reducing dryness.
Coconut Oil
Inflammation is a major component of many different types of skin disorders, including psoriasis, contact dermatitis and eczema. Studies have concluded that coconut oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Calendula Flower Oil
We make our own Calendula oil by gently infusing marigold petals.
Calendula oil is known to have antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that might make it useful in healing wounds, soothing eczema, and relieving diaper rash. It’s also used as an antiseptic.
Shea Butter
High concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins make Shea butter an ideal cosmetic ingredient for softening skin. Shea butter also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.
Lavender Oil
If you have a burn, cut, scrape, or another wound, lavender oil may help speed up the wound-healing process. In a 2016 study, researchers found that lavender oil promotes the healing of skin tissue.
Eczema can show up anywhere on your body. With eczema, your skin gets dry, itchy, and scaly. Since lavender has Antifungal properties and reduces inflammation, it can help keep eczema at bay.
Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil can help soothe dry skin by reducing itching and irritation. Also, it’s been shown to be more effective than Zinc Oxide and Clobetasone Butyrate creams in treating eczema.
According to a 2013 study, tea tree oil helps to heal wounds caused by bacteria.
Directions
Apply to affected area and gently rub until fully absorbed. Healing Touch Skin Repair is suitable as a daily face and body moisturiser. It absorbs quickly on application and the beeswax will help protect your skin through the day.
For best results, apply liberally to face and body after washing.
