Brewing Instructions:
Can be enjoyed cold or hot. 1-2 tablespoons makes a single serving, or brew all 2 oz. in a pot to make up to 3 gallons. Cover tea with hot water and steep for up to 30 minutes, depending on strength or flavor desired. Add honey if desired and enjoy!
Water quality matters.
Try to use fresh, filtered water each time you brew. Repeatedly boiling and cooling water brings oxygen out of solution – resulting in tea with less flavor.
Flavor can be effected by tap water.
Taste and odors of chlorine in tap water, or the mineral content in well water masks many of tea’s subtler flavors, so filtered or spring water is the way to go if possible.
Temperature.
Most types of tea call for a full, rolling boil to bring out the best aroma, flavor and benefits.
French press.
Did you know you can brew herbal tea in a press? We love this method because it produces a strong flavored tea.
Caution: If pregnant, nursing, or on medication, consult with your health care practitioner before use.
