Castor oil, pressed from the castor seed, is a beautiful oil that has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for a large range of ailments. It is extremely high in ricinoleic acid, which is thought to be responsible for its health promoting benefits.
Castor oil is antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. It has been described as the oil that heals. Nutritious in its nature, castor oil is used to clear obstructions from the body and stimulates the liver to detoxify poisons in the system.

Castor oil is best used on those with dry or flaky scalps and brittle hair (it is an oil, so it might be overkill for use on those who already have oily hair). There's also anecdotal evidence to suggest it can be effective on the eyelashes and eyebrows.
Castor has been used to treat a range of medical conditions, most notably digestive issues.
Castor oil is broken down into ricinoleic acid in the small intestine. This speeds up the process of digestion.
Castor oil and ricinoleic acid are thought to increase absorption in the skin and are sometimes used in the treatment of various skin conditions, including dermatosis, psoriasis, and acne.

Pain relief and the reduction of inflammation - In modern medicine, drugs are widely prescribed to help combat pain and inflammation, despite evidence indicating their potential to adversely affect the digestive tract and hinder the ability of joint tissues to heal and repair. Castor oil can be used as a safer alternative, with topical application of it shown to be highly effective.

Detoxification and improved liver function - Castor oil can also be effective in supporting detoxification and liver function. One theory suggests that this efficacy is due to its emission of white light, which is believed to penetrate deep into the tissues, and stimulate cellular energy to reduce congestion and the stagnation of fluids.
Directions
Before use, wash the wrap - Wash on a 'delicate wash' , using a gentle (preferably fragrance free) detergent and adding some white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser. This cleans the pack well, no need for extra heat or detergent.
1) Prepare your space thoughtfully so you can relax.
2) Wear old clothes and place a towel down in case of any leakage.
3) On first use, lay the wrap on a flat surface and spread 5-6 tablespoons of castor oil from the centre of the wrap.
4) Place Wrap where needed (see below for wrap placement) and relax with your legs slightly elevated - For the first week, use for 20 - 30 minutes per day.
* From the second week you can increase this to however long you need—place the wrap and go about your day or sleep in it for best results.
5) After First use, just add 2 - 3 tablespoon to the wrap to top up. Wash the pack after 2 weeks of use (gentle machine wash) then repeat steps 3 & 4
7) When time is up, gently remove the pack then rub in the excess castor oil into the skin. You can also wipe the excess castor oil off with warm water if needed.
You can continue to use and top up the wrap for 2 weeks before it needs to be washed.
Body Wrap Placement
Abdomen / Stomach: Place the wrap across your stomach, between your lower ribs and pubic bone. This position is best for targeting bloating, constipation, or digestive discomfort.
Liver Area: Position the wrap over the upper right side of your abdomen (just below your ribcage) to target liver support.
Pelvic Area: Place the wrap over your lower abdomen and pelvis to help ease menstrual cramps or discomfort from fibroids.
Joints or Muscles: Place the wrap directly over any specific sore or inflamed joints
